This Privacy Policy explains how Okiru (“Okiru,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).
The short version
Your flashcards, alarms, and study progress are stored locally on your device, not on our servers. We don’t sell your data. Below is the full detail on everything else the App touches.
Information We Collect
Study data (stored locally). Your custom flashcards, alarm schedules, and spaced-repetition progress are stored on your device using local storage. We do not have access to this data unless you contact us for support and choose to share it.
Account information (optional). If you choose to create an account or sign in, we collect the information necessary to do so (such as your email address), so your settings can sync across devices in the future.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to Okiru Pro, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We (and our subscription-management partner, RevenueCat) receive confirmation of your subscription status and receipt information, but we never see or store your payment card details.
Diagnostic and crash data. We use Sentry to automatically collect crash reports and error logs so we can fix bugs. This may include device type, OS version, and app version.
Advertising data. If the App displays ads, they are served through Google AdMob, which may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to your device’s ad-tracking permissions.
How We Use Information

Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

Data Retention & Deletion
Local study data stays on your device until you delete the App or clear it yourself from within Settings. If you’ve created an account, you can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us (see below).
Children’s Privacy
Okiru is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
